In the 2016-17 academic year, 235 John Carroll University student athletes achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
Capping off a day-long Celebration of the Liberal Arts at Wittenberg University, the campus community came together to celebrate the achievements of students and faculty members alike at the annual Honors Convocation, Friday, April 7, in Weaver Chapel. The faculty commemorated the occasion in full academic regalia as the university recognized high achievement of students and faculty members in academic and co-curricular activities.
Nearly 60 Ohio Wesleyan University students spent spring break participating on one of OWU's seven Interfaith Service teams. Chad Johns, director of the Interfaith Service program, said the student-created teams incorporate "intentional service and reflection with people of diverse faiths, philosophies, and perspectives [to] deepen our understanding of ourselves and each other, even as we work to improve the world around us."

Over 80 students participated in the 16th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dancing and HIV/AIDS education. All proceeds are donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.
Kent State University awards nearly 3,000 degrees, with more than 545 accompanying institutional honors, and including 1598 bachelor's degrees, 668 master's degrees, 44 doctoral degrees, 254 associate degrees and 1 educational specialist degrees.

From the first note to the final breath, "West Side Story" soars as the greatest love story of all time, and remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever. The co-production with the BW Conservatory of Music's Music Theatre Program and Department of Theatre and Dance runs November 9-12 and 16-19 at 7:30 p.m. and November 13 and 20 at 2 p.m.

More than 400 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $5.2 million dollars in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $41 million in financial support from the University for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The 2016-17 academic year got off to a great start when Heidelberg University welcomed nearly 400 first-year and 40 transfer students -- one of the largest classes of new students in the university's history.
